EIKO ISHIZAWA

Questions about the supernatural, nature and man inspire Eiko Ishizawa to create art. She is not so much looking for answers to these questions, her art shapes her questions and observations. In sculptures and installations she combines earthly and metaphysical elements, regularly resulting in absurdist situations. In this way she depicts with light-hearted humor our daily dealings with our existence, in which we try to give everything that we cannot comprehend and that moves us a place in "reality". She plays with our perception, with the aim of providing a broader and layered perspective on reality.
