GIOTTO IN AMSTERDAM

A construction site fence along one side of the square turned this part into a "dead" side. With this photo project, stretching over the entire 50 yard, this north side of the square is actively rejoined with the entire square.
The series visualize an imaginary journey along and through the interiors of apartments and businesses facing the square. The first and the last picture show a site on the square: the booths of the local fish-seller and florist.

By placing photographs of interiors in other interiors and then photographing this again, a kaleidoscopic and at times confusing series has been created where the overwhelming amount of details invite the pedestrians to study the large panels from close by.
